Evaluating to Meet Expectations
All
staff members at a particular school are performing at a satisfactory
level and maintaining tenure, yet many students are not improving on
standardized tests. Would this cause the state to feel that
administration was not evaluating teachers accurately thus forcing a
principal that wants to maintain their position to evaluate teachers
with an even higher standard in order to allow some teachers to lose
tenure making room for another teacher? Should we keep good teachers
if there is a great one available?
