The theme of a recent faculty meeting was basically I'm doing my job; are you doing yours? The affirmative alone isn't enough in today's educational climate.
Prove it.
Here's how one might:
- maintain lesson plans
- reflect on those lessons (preferably in writing)
- maintain samples of student work
- document involvement with your pln/plc
- write a weekly letter to parents/guardians
- maintain a class website
- evaluate student work frequently and thoroughly
- respond to email and phone calls promptly
- keep a list of your supervisor's requests and document their completion
