Self reflection should result in improvement, not a rating. Connecting it to a score impacting tenure blurs the process of selecting truly appropriate benchmarks.
If you need four gallons of gas to get home, that's the minimum you'll put in your tank. The SGO process is more like getting four gallons of gas, and then moving your house so you can still reach it.
